Frankie's Story
Life
Born in Keokuk, Iowa and raised in southeast Iowa. Elementary school primarily in Harmony Community Schools except for a brief period of time in Washington Community Schools (5th-9th grades), I then returned to Harmony Community Schools primarily to participate in girls athletics. I went on to college in Waterloo, Iowa and was hired by the Davenport Police Department in 1977. I finished a B.A. at St. Ambrose College in 1982. I have been with D.P.D. for 30+ years and also work independently as a consultant in self defense training, a massage therapist and as an adjunct instructor at Kaplan University. I work a variety of off-duty security jobs occasionally.
I retired from the police department in June 2010, but still teach at Kaplan. I am completely loving this semi-retirement gig. More time for books, crosswords, my pets, photography and travel.
